Who We Are
A dentist, a dental technician and a law costs draftsman walk into a bar...
Sounds like the start of a terrible joke, but it's actually not too far from the truth (except the bar was a cafe).
The idea for Lab94 came about in late 2017, between Dr Dan Naylor (the dentist), Mark Fletcher (lab owner and dental technician), and Duncan Paine (the other one). We noticed that Wrexham is a large town with many dental practices, but no local dental laboratory to serve them, and so it was decided to explore the possibility of establishing one.
Fast forward to September 2019, and our doors opened. Despite a tricky start thanks to the global coronavirus pandemic, we have gone from strength to strength in the time since. We've built a strong, close knit team, maintained the focus of providing consistent quality of product and service, and gained a broad and loyal customer base as a result.
We continue to grow but in a manageable way, so that staff aren't overloaded and clients aren't let down. That growth has led to us moving to our new and larger premises at Pandy Business Park on the edge of Wrexham, two minutes from the A483. Our new premises will give us the opportunity to expand our team, coverage area, and product and service offering.

Duncan Paine
Managing Director
With more than 20 years experience in the legal costs industry, Duncan has made the move into dental lab ownership. He was responsible for establishing the lab, and oversees the day to day running of the business.
Duncan still carries out a small amount of legal costs work. In his spare time he can usually be found at Crossfit Wrexham, where he recently retired from part-time coaching.
Dr Daniel Naylor
Clinical Director
Dan has been a qualified dentist for almost 25 years, and is the former owner of Ruabon Road Dental Practice.
Whilst not involved in the day to day running of the lab, Dan uses his extensive clinical experience to advise on more complex cases within the lab.
Dan is a keen cyclist and lover of music.
Mark Fletcher
Technical Director
Mark has been a qualified Dental Technician for over 35 years, and has run his own successful lab in Merseyside for more than 30 years.
Mark played a key role in assisting with the set up of Lab94, and provides technical advice and guidance to our technicians.
When not at his own bench (which is rare) Mark enjoys a round of golf. Mark is shy, so here is a picture of Ainsdale golf course!
Dani
Lab Manager/Head Technician
Daniel was the first employee to join the ranks at Lab94. In our early days (and during the post covid period) he found himself carrying out multiple roles within the lab, but now focuses on managing the day to day flow of work in the lab. Daniel is also responsible for assisting with training and guiding our other technicians.
Daniel is an avid Liverpool supporter, and recently became a father!

Andy
Dental Technician
Andy joined Lab94 in late 2021, following the unfortunate collapse of Aurora Dental Laboratory in Shrewsbury. With almost a decade of experience, Andy brings great knowledge to the team.
Away from work Andy likes to be involved in all things sport, as a participant and a spectator.

Usha
Dental Technician
Usha joined the Lab94 technical team in September 2023.
Originally qualifying as a dental technician, Usha is also a qualified dental nurse and has spent time specialising in orthodontic nursing.
Usha is a fan of the cinema and likes to spend time outdoors with her dog.

Nick
Dental Technician
Nick joined Lab94 in July 2024, and (after Mark) is the most experienced member of our technical team.
Nick previously owned and operated his own dental laboratory in the North East, but has relocated to North Wales for a change of pace. He has a particular interest in the digital side of laboratory work, and will be helping to establish our digital offering.
Nick is a lover of canal boats and raises awareness for mental health charities in his spare time, in particular Advance Brighter Futures.

Ennipher
Dental Technician
Ennipher is the newest member of the Lab94 technical team.
Originally qualifying as a Dental Technician in her home country of Malawi, Ennipher moved to the UK and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Dental Technology from Cardiff, before moving to Wrexham to join Lab94 in October 2024.
Ennipher is a keen photographer and artist, enjoys the outdoors, and is an avid fan of puzzle solving.

Plaster Technician
We are pleased to confirm that we have found our new Plaster Technician, who will be joining the business on Monday 1st September.

Tori
Admin
Tori handles the day to day administrative duties within the lab. Hers is the voice you will (most likely) hear, and is your first point of contact for any queries.
When not at the lab, Tori likes to spend her time hiking and doing photography. She is also studying for a degree in Natural Chemistry.
Tori is also shy, so has asked for a picture of a husky instead!
David, Carl, Alyn and Ken
Drivers
David, Carl, Alyn and Ken are the lab's in-house drivers, responsible for deliveries and collections for our clients. David and Alyn cover our delivery service in Wrexham and the surrounding areas; Carl is our main driver for our newly opened service area along the A55 corridor, and Ken provides occasional cover.
Outside of the lab David enjoys taking part in classic car rallies; Carl is a keen motorbike entusiast; Alyn is a lifelong Wrexham supporter; and Ken has made a hobby out of retiring, getting bored, and starting work again.
